Mmmmm.....Chocolate!

The sun shinin' bright and the temps above 20 (you know T-shirt weather) so we thought we'd get out of the house and do something. Just so happened it was the weekend of the Bel Air Chocolate Festival. Got to sample several different chocolate goodies like chocolate mousse, eclairs, brownies, cookies, and more! Weslie had fun and so many people stopped to see her and say "How cute!", but she didn't get to enjoy any chocolate treats.

Electricity?

What does snow, ice, and a high winds equal? Power outage. The power went out around 1:00 in the afternoon, and was out till around 7:00 pm. *At the height of the incident, about 70,000 Baltimore Gas and Electric customers were without power in Harford County. WBAL-TV 11 News reporter Noel Tucker reported that two large feeder lines sagged due to heavy ice from this week's snow storms. As they swayed together, the lines eventually touched and shorted out, causing the outages.

*Thanks to WBAL-TV for this information
Just a little more snow

Let's call it an inch of new snow on top of a layer of ice that all fell last night. It closed some schools, but everyone else had to go to work. That means de-icing and cleaning off the car. Snow is no big deal, you just wipe or brush it off. Ice, as everyone knows, is a pain in the butt. Good news: No more snow or ice and the temp is going to break 30 for the next few days.

Snow

Snow, sleet, and ice is the forcast for the next couple of days, and with the temp staying below 30 it looks as if it's going to be here for a while. Here's a little pic to help demonstrate the point.

Bye bye Baltimore (kind of)

Mary's new job is only 20 miles from Baltimore, so we didn't have to move, but I wouldn't wish a 20 mile commute of I-95 on anyone. Plus it's good to live near where you work and, it just so happens in this instance, cheaper too. Here's a picture of our new digs.
