Self-Feeding and a Sippy Cup???

Now that Brian has a couple of teeth we thought we'd try giving him some crunchy finger food. Nothing much, just some Gerber puffs. Oh and we also gave him some juice in a sippy cup to wash them down with; I mean as long as we were trying new things. He managed to get a couple of the puffs in and maybe some sips of juice, but it's a start. Baby steps . . . baby steps.

Gabbie's Photos

Gabbie was playing around with the camera and taking pictures of just about everything. When I looked through the pictures she had taken I was surprise at how good they were. It's amazing to see what she finds interesting . . . well interesting enough to take a picture of.

A World of Hurt

We just got back from the pediatrician's and found out that Brian has an ear infection or maybe it's infections since it's in both ears. He also has his front top teeth about to come in. The doctor says they'll probably cut through in the next day or so. Oh, and they gave him a flu shoot. You would think with all of this going on that Brian would be one unhappy and fussing baby, but he's not. As you can see in the picture he's being his pleasant and happy self.

Happy Valentine's Day

We didn't do that much for Valentine's Day this year. Mary and the girls made cupcakes, which we ate. We gave each other candy, which we ate, and cards, which Brian ate. Then we went out to dinner, which nobody ate.

Gnomes

I think we've got gnomes. I found a piece of paper on the floor with a tiny boot print. I thought it was funny at first and showed it to the girls. They suggested a note for the gnomes, or whatever, to please take off their boots when they come in. However, the more I look at it the more it baffles me.

Disney on Ice

A couple of years ago we took the girls to see Disney on Ice and they had such a good time that we thought we'd do it again. Of course the traffic in Baltimore was awful and the parking was crazy and the seating was tight, but it was worth it. The girls as usual had a great time but Brian seemed to enjoy more than anyone. He loved all the lights and music and just smiled and bounced the entire time.

She's a Star

Weslie came home today with a cool button pinned to her shirt and a really official looking certificate in her bag. It seems that she is this months Star Citizen. We weren't really sure what that was but Weslie explained that they only give them to the students who are polite, share, and help out around the classroom.

Super Great Job Weslie!!! We couldn't be prouder.

Someone to Play With

With Weslie away at school and Brian taking up a lot of my time, Gabbie has had to learn to play by herself. I think this good and a very important skill to have. This has also led to Gabbie's first imaginary friend, Imagination, as in, "Daddy, me and my friend, Imagination, are going to play cards while you're feeding Brian." Of course there are her stuffed animal friends that she plays with and has tea with. However, now that Brian is getting a little older, it looks like Gabbie is going to have a new playmate that actually plays back.
